Reinventing the fastest forgotten archery

This guy has some serious skills. I guess great training every day for 3 years will produce this.
And like Kasey always says, if you can't shoot a moving target while you are moving, you can't shoot

  1. Have seen this a few times now, while it is impressive in it's own right, it is not clear what draw weight the bow is which would have an influence on what the arrows would actually do against a living target.

  2. So are you saying this would not really work in a live shooting situation?

  3. Maybe, maybe not- I agree with TEHCG in that it's *probably * a super light bow which won't transfer perfectly to a heavier bow. It's like if you did all your pistol shooting with Airsoft; you'd have some skills but there would be something lacking too.

  4. Makes sense. But didn't he show shooting through a chain mail??

  5. Apparently the bows used were 30 and 35lb draw weight.... a lot less than you would use for killing humans or animals of human size, and he is in general under drawing arrows which would further reduce the draw weight.
Shooting through mail is not hard if the arrows are of the same diameter or less of the mail links, if the links are not riveted or welded, but only butted and one is shooting from very close range

  6. I've watched this a few times now, and although it's great in its own right, it's unclear what the bow's draw weight is, which might affect how the arrows perform against a living target. After this video I have started searching about archery classes and left my Business Management Dissertation Editing Services Uk work because this really impressed me.
